Disabling
Pop-Up Blockers |
In using the Bibliostat software
for your library annual report, you need to disable any pop-up blocker installed
on your computer so that you get the full functionality of the program, including
the ability to print .pdf copies of your report. There are three options:
the third is the best.
- You can temporarily disable
the pop-up blocker while logging in, by hold down the Ctrl Key while clicking
on the login button. This key action will need to be repeated when you want
to print .pdf copies of your report.
- You can disable the pop-up blocker
totally for the time you want to be working on your report. Remember to
turn it back on.
- Directions follow for disabling
the most common pop-up blockers so that every time you go to the report
you will get full functionality. (Note that your computer may have more
than one of these installed, and each should be configured to allow content
for http://collect.informata.com to be displayed.)
- Yahoo! Toolbar
- The toolbar keeps a list
of sites from which it has blocked pop-ups, and then allows you to
choose from which of these sites you want to allow pop-ups. In the
list of recently-blocked pop-ups, click 'collect.informata.com', and
then click 'Allow'.
- Google Toolbar
- Click the pop-up blocking
button on the Toolbar.
- MSN Pop-up Guard
- On the pop-up guard click
the black down arrow, then click 'Allow Pop-ups for this Site'.
- Internet Explorer 6 browser
that is included with Windows XP SP2:
- Go to Tools > Pop-up
Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings. In the in the 'Address of Web
site to allow' text box type in 'collect.informata.com'. Click 'Add'
Then "Close".
Note: You must use the Internet
Explorer browser with the Bibliostat software. You cannot use Firefox or Netscape.
