Activities:

  • Finalize campaign team.
  • Voter Identification through phone calls and tracking voters.
  • On-going media relations.
  • Establish computer operation for voter tracking, thank you letters, etc.

*Be prepared for public's reaction to the announcement. Have planned responses for their possible reactions*

 

Connecting with Voters (Part 2)

Activities:

  • Library Director Letter to Regular Users.
  • Direct Mail (three pieces over 5-6 weeks before GOTV)
  • Phone Calls to supporters.
  • Persuasion calls to non-committed.
  • Door-to-Door campaign activities.
  • Friend-to-friend campaign activities.
  • Tracking voters.

Week Before the Election

 

Get Out the Vote - INTENSIVE EFFORT

Activities:

  • Band Wagon Direct Mail piece: shows breadth of community support.
  • Reminder Phone calls to yes voters the night before.
  • Poll watching to increase yes voter turnout the day of.
  • Rides to polls for those who need them the day of.
  • Getting to Yes is funded by Federal Library Services and Technology Act funds, awarded to the New York State Library by the
    Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.
